How We're Different

As the owner and founder of Amplify Health Chiropractic & Wellness, my top priority is to work together with you to understand your story - and to use that information to deliver high quality care that gets you feeling your best. I know firsthand what it’s like when your concerns aren’t taken seriously by your healthcare providers. At AHCW, I strive to create an environment where your voice will be heard.

Before opening my own practice, I worked in a busy clinic outside of Chicago treating athletes, crossfitters, pregnant patients, kids, and everyone in between. My youngest patient was 1 week old, and my oldest was 99 years young. Working in this setting, I discovered a passion for manual therapies and treatment that went beyond the standard chiropractic adjustment. By combining various soft tissue modalities (cupping, muscle scraping/Graston) with adjustments and corrective exercise, we're really able to get to the root of the problem - and together achieve results that last. In addition, I've always had a passion for women's health, which has lead to a certification in prenatal and postpartum care through the ICPA and Birthfit! programs. When it comes to caring for my patients I am committed to the highest standard of care, and will never settle for anything less.

Education

I’ve always been fascinated by the mind/body connection and have known from a young age that my future career would involve working closely with people. Shortly after obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I found myself in a chiropractor’s office for the first time with a bout of sudden severe neck pain.

I was blown away by the conservative approach to care that relied on a combination of manual therapies and corrective exercises and felt better within a few visits. I knew I had stumbled upon something special and decided to pursue my doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. After graduation I practiced as an associate in the Chicago suburbs and on the north shore of Massachusetts, treating a variety of athletes, pregnant patients, and people of all ages.

I chose the name Amplify for two reasons - one, because I believe that your voice is an extremely powerful tool that needs to be heard, and two - because music and art are some of the driving forces of my life, and are scientifically proven to help decrease stress, anxiety, and alter perception of chronic pain. Over the years to come I envision this practice to be a space that helps bring the community together through support of both the sciences and the arts.

Associations and Experience

I’m a proud member of the American Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and the Forward Thinking Chiropractic Association.

I specialize in soft tissue work via cupping and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). I am well-versed in a variety of adjusting techniques that are geared towards all levels of comfort - from manual diversified adjusting, to more gentle techniques like Thompson-drop and Activator (hand held adjusting tool). Additionally, I also perform kinesiotaping, strength & conditioning exercises, and McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis (MDT) parts A (Lumbar Spine) and B (Cervical and Thoracic Spine). Additional certifications include proficiency in the Webster Technique.

When I’m not at the office, I’m most likely spending time with my husband Kevin and our Australian Cattle Dog Sadie. You can find us swimming, hiking, eating all of the New England seafood we can get our hands on, supporting the local live music scene, and spinning records from our ever-growing vinyl collection.
